What advice would you give to someone who is praying about entering the mission field: Pray and know that you know that it is God’s will. Stand firm on His Word, because there will be many times that you want to throw in the towel and go home, but you have to remain faithful to His call on your life. People want consistency. Love them with Christ’s love, and don’t try to change them to be like you.

Jessica Guinn Luque
Position: Administration and Group Planning
Birthdate: August 15th
Home State: Alabama
Home Church: Henagar Baptist Church, Henagar, AL
Favorite Scripture: 2 Timothy 1:7
Favorite Honduran meal: Pollo guisado (Chicken cooked in a tomato based sauce), with red beans, cuajada (fresh, homemade cheese), and homemade tortillas
What do you miss most about the U.S.: My family and endless water/electricity.
Favorite part of ministry: Seeing new believers follow Jesus in water baptism. Baptism is taken very seriously in Honduras, so I always feel overwhelmed at the faith and obedience it takes for new believers to make an outward profession of what God has done inwardly.
Number of years on the field: 6 years
Favorite thing about Honduras: The slow pace and simplicity of life.
